Kuwait’s communications regulator, CITRA, issued a Cloud Computing Regulatory Framework (Resolution No. 112 of 2021). Its data classification policy sorts data into four levels by sensitivity, from public information up to highly sensitive data, and the controls get stricter at each level. Data at the two highest levels must be hosted inside Kuwait, with a cloud provider licensed by CITRA. Work out which level your data falls into, then ask each provider which levels their service is approved for and where your data will be stored.
